Last day as a quadpawd

My girl will have her “spare” leg only one more day.  She is doing well…seems very much herself (besides the limp and dragging of the paw) and very happy.  Her fur is finally growing back on her bad leg but her belly is bare from where they aspirated the lesions on her kidneys and skin.  I fear we have already begun to spoil her rotten….nah…not a chance.  She’s finally gnawing on a rawhide bone I got her after her biopsy in mid-July as a treat.  My heart breaks for her but I know in my heart of hearts that this is the best decision for her.  I’ll definitely have more anxiety about her tripawd status than she will.  🙂  Thanks in advance for the words of encouragement.  I’ve come to depend on them.  🙂

The pic is my hubby showing our girl some love.  🙂

  3. And onto a journey of being pain free and able to have an excellent uality of life! A life of more spoiling and more loving than you could ever imagine being able to give! And it will be so much fun!

Couple of things, when you go to pick Toto up, don’t look at her surgery site. Just look straight into her eyes and praise her like crazy. She could care less about how many legs she has…she just wants to be with you getting snuggles with your husband and eati g pig ears!

That’s a wonderful photo! Two souls living in the moment and focusing on the love:-)

If you nave hardwood floors, make sure you get scatter rugs so sne won’t slip. Luanne, Shooter’s mom, is a big advocate of raised food and water bowls.

Stay busy tomorrow. Eat lots of chocolate chased down with a milkshake…..or two!

Toto will amaze you! You’ll see!
